Biographical Sketch

The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo and its Patronato, following the activities regarding the context of the International Image Fest 2017 on its seventh edition, is honored to have the participation of Ariel Guzik as Distinguished Visiting Professor of the UAEH, being a multifaceted musician, researcher, plastic artist, herbalist, and inventor. His work is based on the great interest on conjugating art with science, with a root on the great passion for nature. The technical basis of his work are, the resonance, electromagnetism, and the natural harmonic ranges. His production is the conjunction of art and science.

Ariel Guzik, mixes his artistic preparation with more than 25 years of research in Biology, Math, Physics, and Music to create machines or electromagnetic devices that are able to capture vibrations and resonances of the environment (plants, animals, solar waves, etc.), to later on, reproduce them in a way in which the human ear is able to listen to them; to make it short, he creates music based on nature.

His remarkable work, has taken him to get in depth research about the communication with dolphins, whales, plants, and urban environments. His work aims to rediscover the amazement towards natural phenomena and the simple things; also, it gives value to the amusement and charm.
