Abstract
Study of hydrogen bonding in pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamidesof general formula {(2,6-CONRH)2(C5H3N)} [R = H (1); R =CH3 (2); R = CH2CH3 (3); R = 2-Br-C6H4 (4); R = CH2(2-C5H4N) (5)] by NMR and infrared is described. Intermolecularinteractions of types NHOH2, NHOC and NHOSMe2,and intramolecular NHN interactions for the amides 1-5 inAndrade-López N. et al. / Publicación Semestral Pädi No. 10 (2018) 9?13 12solution and solid state were established. In 1-5, the intramolecular hydrogen bonds formed with the hydrogen atoms of the NH amidic group and the pyridinic nitrogen (NHN) yielded the formation of five membered rings. The hydrogen bonds in these compounds enhance the amide form as the main tautomer associated to their structure.
